Apple made historical moment once again yesterday by announcing their latest flagship with 5G capability that everyone is waiting for. This year Apple announced iPhone 12 mini claiming it’s the world smallest 5G smartphone. Above lineup is what you seeing for 2020, Apple made three amazing previous models which are iPhone SE, iPhone XR and iPhone 11 available to the market yet because of the value and reasonable price.

This is one of four new phones from the company – it’s joined by the iPhone 12 mini, the iPhone 12 Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max. So what do we know about the new iPhone so far? Not everything, but quite a lot. The company has confirmed that it’ll be 5G-ready, allowing you to enjoy super-fast download and browsing speeds on your phone.

The iPhone 12 release date is set for October 23, and you’ll be able to pre-order the phone from this Friday, October 16. You won’t be able to pre-order the iPhone 12 mini until November 6, and the phone will be out on November 13. Apple has confirmed the iPhone 12 price will start at $799 in the US, which is $100 more than the iPhone 11 range. That’s likely because of the introduction of 5G technology.

A14 Bionic is the fastest chip in a smartphone.

Apple this year did the same thing as previous year which include it’s faster chip into 4 model. What’s new in A14 chip? It pushes what’s possible. Like crunching trillions of operations on the Neural Engine. Or shooting in Dolby Vision even pro movie cameras can’t do that. It’s superefficient for great battery life. And it’s ahead of its time, prepared to power pretty much anything that comes next. With that mentioned, iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 pro and 12 pro max will have the same chipset, the A14 Bionic. Apple also claim that the display on iPhone 12 models vastly more contrast. Incredible color accuracy. A huge jump in pixel density. OLED delivers brighter bright, darker blacks, and higher resolution for everything you look at and it goes all the way to the edge.

Taking about camera, we don’t know much yet but Apple claim that they’re improving the dark mode on iPhone 12 models. With both the Wide and Ultra Wide cameras now have Night mode and it’s better than ever at capturing incredible low-light shots. The new Wide camera brings in 27 percent more light. So whether you take photos by day or by moonlight, you’ll get a level of detail and color that wasn’t possible before.

This year apple including dolby video capturing, claiming the first ever built in into a smartphone. As for the weight and dimensions, the iPhone 12 mini is 131.5 x 64.2 x 7.4mm and 133g, the iPhone 12 is 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.4mm and 162g, the iPhone 12 Pro is 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.4mm and 187g, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max is 160.8 x 78.1 x 7.4mm and 226g.

We’ve yet to hear how big the battery is in the iPhone 12, and it’s unlikely that we’ll learn that stat until someone gets the phone in their hand and does a teardown.

The company claims it’ll last for 16 hours of video playback (that’s video stored on the phone’s memory rather than being streamed) but we won’t know the battery life for certain until we’ve tested the phone.

Fast-charging is available on the phone that can get the battery from zero to 50% in half an hour, but you’ll need to buy a separate 20W charger to be able to get that feature.

We do know that Apple has improved its wireless charging offering here. The big improvement is called MagSafe, which is essentially a magnet within the phone that allows you to attach a wireless charging pad to the device.

Why would it do that? It’s to make sure your phone doesn’t slip off of said charger and stop charging when you’re using it.

MagSafe charging seems to be faster than Qi wireless charging too. According to Apple’s website, MagSafe will use 15W charging, which Qi wireless charging on the iPhone 12 is limited to 7.5W.

The technology also allows accessory manufacturers to make in-car products, cases and more too.

Apple says it’ll be creating its own accessories, but we can also expect to see new products from third-party manufacturers, with the company confirming that Belkin is working on accessories already.

The downside of this year release is the only thing comes in the box is the phone itself and a usb-c to lightning cable. There will be no adapter included in the box. Who’s upgrading?
